Frequently asked questions

Is it free for families to use Group Home Listing?+

Yes. Families never pay Group Home Listing to search, message operators, or confirm a placement. Families pay their monthly rent through the platform, and operators pay a small monthly platform fee that is disclosed to them during signup.

What kinds of homes are listed?+

Senior assisted living, homes specialized for intellectual & developmental disabilities (IDD), youth and foster care, and behavioral health / recovery residences.

What does 'Pending License Verification' mean?+

Some operators are actively working toward state licensure or hold a license we haven't yet independently verified. These homes are clearly labeled so families can decide whether to consider them.

Does the price shown include care?+

The monthly range reflects room, board, and standard care. Level-of-care add-ons (memory care, complex medical, 1:1 staffing) are discussed with the operator during placement.

Can Medicaid waivers or VA benefits pay for a home on Group Home Listing?+

Many operators accept Medicaid waivers, VA benefits, LTC insurance, and government-funded placements. Each listing shows which payer types the operator accepts.

How do I list my care home?+

Visit our operator page to create an account and start a listing. It's free to list, we only earn on confirmed check-ins.
